Best Pub/Bar Company Award 2023

We are delighted to announce that Inception Group has won ‘Best Pub/Bar Company Award’ at the highly coveted MCA Retailers’ Retailer Awards, as voted by our industry peers. Shortlisted amongst the likes of Fullers and Greene King, each award is voted for by all the major hospitality industry leaders and we couldn’t be prouder to have received such fantastic recognition.
A huge thank you to everyone for playing a part in helping us achieve this award, from the support office to our on-site staff – it’s one big team effort!

Inception Group Away Day 2021 – Brighton & Hove

From 18th to 20th October, Inception Group’s head office, venue managers and head chefs escaped London for a seaside getaway to Brighton and Hove, celebrating in true Inception style at the stunning Rockwater.

Divided into groups of three, each day consisted of a morning breakfast conference followed by lunch, an afternoon on the beach and dinner with plenty of drinks in between!

The company trip was the perfect opportunity to bring colleagues back together and the team returned to London feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the busy Christmas season ahead! #IGAwayDay2021

Inception Group WINS ‘Best Late Night Operator’ In the UK at The Publican Awards 2020!

Inception Group is delighted to announce our fifth award of 2020 so far! Last night, we were named ‘Best Late Night Operator’ in the UK at The Publican Awards 2020. Honouring excellence within the pubco sector and judged by a panel of hospitality experts, these prestigious awards represent the pinnacle of success within the industry, and we’re thrilled to be recognised alongside the other esteemed finalists, Stonegate Pub Company and The Deltic Group. 

This is our second Publican Award, following our largest brand, Mr Fogg’s, winning the ‘Best Pub Brand/Concept’ award last year (2019). Inspired by Jules Verne’s fictional character, Phileas J. Fogg, in his novel Around the World in Eighty Days, the Mr Fogg’s collection doubled in size to six venues across London in 2018, and with more on the horizon, the Mr Fogg’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

On winning the award, Charlie Gilkes, Co-Founder of Inception Group says:

“We were so honoured to win our first Publican Award last year for Mr Fogg’s, and to receive a second this year, but this time for our whole estate, feels incredibly special. We are hugely proud of all the distinct brand concepts within our collection, and it is great to be able to share this accolade with all the brands and teams. With 11 sites across our estate, we are acutely aware that within the pub industry we’re considered a small player, so to be recognised for standing-out amongst the pub giants, is a great achievement for us.”

Inception Group WINS ‘Best Social Media Presence of the Year’ in the Class Bar Awards 2020!

Having won for Mr Fogg’s in 2018, we were extremely excited to have not one, but TWO of our brands shortlisted again for the ‘Best Social Media Presence of the Year’ award in the Class Bar Awards 2020. Both Mr Fogg’s and Cahoots had made the final three for their outstanding social media.

Waiting eagerly to hear the results, the team was overjoyed when Cahoots’ name was called!

Peter from Mr Fogg’s Residence wins The Galvin Cup

Inception Group and Mr Fogg’s are very proud to announce Peter from Mr Fogg’s Residence has won The Galvin Cup. The Galvin Cup is a internationally respected competition whereby the UK’s top mixologists go head to head in a bid to be recognised as the best shaker in the land! Competitors mixed cocktails for a panel of expert judges and Peter was crowned winner.
