Coined as the toughest reality series to ever exist, Channel 4’s Mutiny saw 9 brave ‘ordinary’ men set sail to recreate the historic voyage known as ‘Mutiny On The Bounty’. 230 years ago, one of the worst acts of piracy took place, when Captain William Bligh and a handful of men were thrown off their ship, forced into a tiny open boat and left to die.
Against all odds, they managed to travel 4000 miles to safety through some of the world’s most unforgiving, remote and dangerous seas. Among these brave men recreating the voyage, is Rishi Ravalia, who speaks of both the physical and mental impact and how they battled terrifying storms, reefs and Australia’s shark-infested waters.
With nothing but Bligh’s original diary and the exact rations used in the original voyage, the challenge was a test of mind and body unbeknownst to most.
