- Monday 24th April 8:31pm

Alastair Humphreys 4 year cycle trip around the world was described by Sir Ranulph Fiennes as: “…out of the ordinary…It was probably the first great adventure of the new Millennium.”

Humphreys was awarded National Geographic’s Adventurer of the year 2012. Responsible for the rise and coining of the term ‘Microadventure’, the expression describes an adventure that is “short, simple, local, cheap – yet still fun, exciting, challenging, refreshing and rewarding” Humphreys aims to teach perhaps inexperienced travellers, or those simply tied to their urbanised and busy lives, how adventures can be experienced by everyone and anyone, from all walks of life.

This down to earth approach and his personability has been reflected in his huge social media following, regular public appearances and large contributions to charity (specifically the ‘Hope and Homes for Children’ charity). He has written nine books and is a highly regarded motivational speaker for corporate events around the world.

Wonderful – Google, An effortless 10/10 – Amazon, Everyone should Microadventure! – Richard Branson, I’ve seen Alastair speak on big stages and to small groups & he’s equally inspiring in both contexts. He speaks with wit and wisdom. – Facebook, Everyone really enjoyed it – Twitter, Outstanding. You clearly inspired the audience. A truly memorable presentation – UK Special Forces

We are extremely excited and honoured to have Alastair speak at the Mr Fogg’s Explorer Series; it’s an event you should not miss!
